Writing and Rapping Tips:
1. Just start writing a whole bunch of short sentences about your topic
2. Start arranging them in ways where you can rhyme words together
3. If you are stuck on rhyming a word use this website by typing in your word and clicking search:
4. Use filler words like: Alright alright, hey, watch out, Listen up, Oh
5. Repeat certain words you want to create emphasis on
6. When you are rapping take time at the beginning to just listen to the beat track a few times then start your rap
7. You can take lots of pauses between sentences before starting a new topic. Your rap doesn't need to be performed as fast as possible
8. You can also use slang words such as: wanna, 'cause, gotta etc.

Here is a Rap that was created by Mrs. Shanahans Class about Louis Riel (The rap below is a short example of how your rap will look, it does not have all A and B sections above, but it can be used as a rough guide).

Louis Riel
Chorus:
Hey......hey......Listen up! A Louis Riel story!
I wanna take this time to talk about a man, tell you his story
might just sound a little gory. Oh!
Verse 1:
He was convicted of Treason...boom!
He had had every reason
To be against racial discrimination
which is an absolutely abomination
(Back to Chorus)
Verse 2:
He led the red river rebellion
And as such people saw his as one in a million
But in my opinion
He just had all dominion

(Back to Chorus)

Here is another Rap that was created by Mme Closs and Ms. Johnson's Class about Star Wars
Star Wars!
Chorus:
Hey hey listen up listen up!
